Star Wars Day Returns Aug. 13

It’s back! After a two-year hiatus, Star Wars Day is returning to the Greenville-Butler Co. Library!

This will be the 8th time the library has celebrated the “galaxy far, far, away” as its traditional end-of-the-summer event, but the first time in two years.

The event starts at 10 a.m.

A variety of activities are planned, including Star Wars crafts, snacks, and prizes.

“We have lots of prizes to give away and, of course, we’ll be spotlighting our Star Wars collection of books and movies that will be available for check out,” said Library Director Kevin Pearcey.

Star Wars Day caps off what has been an eventful two months, said Pearcey, with hundreds of children and parents participating in summer activities.

Star Wars Day is free to the public. For more information call (334) 382-3216.
